Windway
A conservation easement property preserving the windswept, open character of this eastern Wisconsin landscape — permanently protected from development.
About This Property
Windway is a property whose name evokes the open, wind-swept landscapes of eastern Wisconsin — where Lake Michigan breezes shape the land and influence the ecology. Protected through a conservation easement with Glacial Lakes Conservancy, this property's natural character is preserved permanently.
Open, wind-exposed landscapes support unique plant and animal communities adapted to these conditions. They also provide important habitat for grassland birds and raptors that depend on open country for nesting and hunting.
