Who We Are
A Community-Based
Land Trust
Glacial Lakes Conservancy is a non-profit land trust based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. We actively work to permanently conserve land β protecting the lakes, forests, wetlands, and prairies that define our region.
As one of 40 land trusts in Wisconsin and part of the national Land Trust Alliance, we serve five counties: Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Calumet, and Kewaunee.
We own and manage five nature preserves and hold 32 conservation easements on private lands β legal agreements that permanently protect property from development.

Of the 2,400+ acres GLC has helped protect, we own and manage 304 acres across five preserves. These trails need ongoing care β from boardwalk repairs to invasive species management.
Our new Trail Preservation Program raises dedicated funding for preserve maintenance, ensuring these natural spaces remain accessible and beautiful for everyone.
